Our Wedding

Alana and Jacob met in the fall of 2021, thanks to friends who had been matchmaking behind the scenes. Alana maintains the moment she saw Jacob, she knew she was going to marry him. Jacob, a lover of travel, made the ten hour drive (several times!) from his home in D.C. to Maine. They explored Alana's favorite Maine spots, from the Eastern Prom in Portland, to the Kennebunk beaches, to Mackworth Island in Falmouth, where they exchanged "I love yous," for the first time.A year later, Jacob made one last drive from the D.C. area to move to Maine, but the couple did not stop traveling then: trips to Acadia, Belgium, Italy, and all the way back to Mackworth Island, where they became engaged on the same spot they first professed their love! The day was full of bright happiness, sunshine, and joy, all encompassing the partnership to which they were committing.Next came two furry family members in their cats, Golda and Pearl, a move to Westbrook for more space for the kitties to run, and now, a wedding so they can celebrate with their dearest friends and family!They are so excited to share this joyous occasion with you and indulge in laughter, good times, and fun!

Black tie optional dress code includes full-length gowns, long formal dresses, dressy jumpsuits and pantsuits, tuxedos, and suits.Our wedding will include many mid century details and themes, so attire that matches this aesthetic is encouraged!
